We are all a little damaged.

3 Nephi 22: 7-8, 10-11

For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

For the mountains shall depart, and the hill be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted! Be hold, I will lay thy stones with fair colors, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

Lights off, the air was sleeping, and I sat in my closet.
He reached out, and spoke to me.
Then, and only then, when all else falls away, and at times, when I have nothing left to give.

So persevere my friends.
For it is all but a small moment before you shall see Gods face.

This is one of my favorite church songs ever. My favorite version was the BYU choir that sang it at a CES broadcast (first one after I was baptized; first musical number to ever move me to tears - and by tears I mean heaping floods..thought Heavenly Father was going to have to send Noah down..). But this version gets the point across.

Those scriptures are quoted, so it reminded me. It's a Rob Gardner piece, sung by someone else.

I love Rob Gardner..I have memorized more scripture from listening to his songs more so than actually trying to cram scrip.mastery down my brain. Hahahaa.

Oh my gosh. I want to be best friends with you! I had a similar moment in my closet late at night after reading the scriptures. It seems that the times in my life when I have felt the closest to Him have been late at night when I can't sleep because a problem is lurking in my mind. It's then that He has reached out and fully comforted me.

You are awesome.
